IC Information

Canon: Honkai: Star Rail

Character: Clara

Canon point: Roughly after the end of Belobog's story and her character quests, but she has probably heard of things from the Trailblazer that pertains to after that.

Canon intensity: Compared to Hoyoverse's other games, Star Rail is certainly the more "silly goofy" game in terms of intensity. But is sure does talk about corrupt people in power, people dying in less-than-ordinary ways, classism, genocide, fantasy racism, etc. It's mostly implied, rarely ever shown. But it's there. Otherwise you've got a regular amount ofpsychological horror for a sci-fi game rated Teen.

World information: Sci-fi with fantasy elements. You, the player, are an amnesiac with the power of a god shoved inside of your chest. You travel the stars on a space-train and go to planets and space stations to solve the mysteries of "Stellaron influence". Other playable characters are typically imbued with the powers of an Aeon (what gods are called), though not to the umpteenth degree like the player is dealing with.

Clara's planet in particular, Jarilo-VI, was inflicted by the Stellaron in such a way that caused an eternal winter. The whole planet is frozen over save for a single city called Belobog. It holds strong in the face of this crisis, barricading the particularly infected Fragmentum spots and guarding civilians. Under Belobog is a mining colony, this place is dubbed the 'Underworld'. Roughly two decades before the arrival of the Astral Express, the current leader of Belobog: Supreme Guardian Cocolia Rand, issued the Underworld be sealed off to better preserve the Overworld. Clara is one of these people who belongs to the Underworld.

Character biofacts: Twelve year old human girl. She stands somewhere between 4'5" and 4'8". Female, she/her.

About the character:

A young girl was found in a landfill to the southeast of Boulder Town, a civilization of the Underground. She showed no signs of physical damage, but her mental state was beyond repair. What happened to her to lead her there? No one knows. All that she knew was her name: Clara.

Svarog, the giant robot with incredible artificial intelligence, built to protect the Underworld, became Clara's father. He gave her the best childhood he could. She played with dolls and house just like any little girl might, but with the robots in her colony instead of other humans. She tried to get Mr. Svarog to join, though no matter how much she insisted for him to play the dad, he always much preferred to be a stationary object, like a tree, or a rock for her to climb.

He notes in his log, that Clara "displays great talent in the field of mechanical engineering — but she still resists communication with other humans."

She does, eventually, make contact with a girl in Boulder Town. Hook, the leader of The Moles. And although they didn't get along very well at first due to Clara being incredibly shy, Hook kept the conversation going and dubbed Clara an 'honorary member' of The Moles. Clara sees Hook as her first friend.

Clara goes on to become a very compassionate and rational girl, helping vagrants stranded in the Underworld to create settlements. They rely on her, and she does everything in her power to help them.

Due to this compassion, Clara begins to question things. She comes to the conclusion that the Supreme Guardian ordering for the Underworld's cut off was unjust. That Cocolia had no remorse for her citizens below the surface. Mr. Svarog would tell her that instead, Cocolia's ushering the destruction of the Overworld quicker, and that the people of the Underworld would prevail where the Overworld failed, but... Clara couldn't sit with that.

She meets people from another world. A woman with candy-floss colored hair and powers as cold as home. A quiet man with pretty eyes and a not-so-nice outward demeanor, but Clara knew he meant well. And a grey haired figure with a penchant for hitting things with their bat and digging in trashcans. And despite having no reason to... They helped her. Along with two others, Cocolia's daughter Ms. Bronya, and Ms. Seele of Wildfire, they helped Clara convince Mr. Svarog that other humans besides her aren't just a variable to be considered in the grand scheme of the future of Belobog.

It took a bit of back and forth, and a lot of strife on Clara's wishes for everyone to just get along. After all... Svarog meant well. He just was calculating for an end that wasn't destined to happen. But in the end, much to her relief, Clara got to protect her family.

She gets to see the sky. And what a beautiful sight that is. Hook didn't think it was real at first, and Clara laughed. It didn't snow that day they breached the surface for the first time. Clara's never smiled brighter. Now the vagrants and those of the Underworld could find new life with less struggle. Now she could focus on helping more people.

The grey haired person, the Trailblazer, Clara's lovingly-dubbed big-sibling, helped Clara fix a broken robot. He was a confused little thing, a core not meant for his casing. It took a couple tries, but Clara and the Trailblazer were able to repair him. She named him Pascal, and let him return to his home.

Clara loves these robots. It's only natural, growing up surrounded by them. She believes that they are just as capable and deserve the same amount of love as humans get. They aren't pets. They might have been built for your amusement, but they shouldn't get mistreated for getting an order wrong. She brings robots home to Mr. Svarog for him to evaluate their condition. Some can't be saved, others only salvaged, but Mr. Svarog can't say no to Clara's pleading face when she sets her mind to something. So maybe, just maybe, their robot family is a little large. But Svarog wouldn't trade it for the world.

Clara is a simple girl. She wants everyone to get along and become apart of her family. It's only right that she passes on the kindness that Mr. Svarog once gave to her.

Abilities: Compared to the majority of Star Rail's character roster, Clara does not fight for herself. All the fighting was done by her caretaker, Mr. Svarog. While she is considered a Physical Destruction character in the database, it is very likely that it is Svarog who has these abilities, not her. She is, however, very skilled in robotics and engineering. She is very compassionate, and leads with her heart.

Noteworthy items:
-> Phone. It's child locked.
-> A small mechanism she was tinkering with. It's supposed to be a moving cat on wheels. But she hasn't gotten farther than building it's inner-workings.
-> Noteworthy lack of shoes.

Mixed gender room ok?: I think she would prefer to be with girls but she wouldn't complain if given otherwise.
Player content notes/squicks: Heavy violence/excessive gore written in extreme detail (implication is fine, I just am a very visually inclined person and so I can see everything I read). Needles in eyes.
Anything else: She will want to know how the drones work. Ship as a whole fascinates her but the drones are at least smaller and familiar.
